Overview
IIFL Foundation has renovated a 70 years old dilapidated Dharamshala (Rest house) at Maharana Bhupal Hospital, Udaipur for patients and their relatives visiting the hospital, so they can find a well maintained, hygienic environment and comfortable place to stay during medical treatment. The renovation of the Dharamshala was carried out in multiple phases, focusing on structural stability, modernized facilities and improved aesthetics to provide a safe and comfortable environment for patients and their families.
Highlights
The Dharamshala will offer long-term and short-term stay for relatives of patients being treated at Maharana Bhupal Hospital, Udaipur, which is a major health facility in the state of Rajasthan. Earlier, patients and relatives were sleeping on the road, and floors of the hospital premises.
The renovated Dharamshala will help patients suffering from serious ailments like cancer to avail to long-term stay along with their family for regular treatment and check up. IIFL Foundation has also developed a beautiful landscape garden and temple in the Dharamshala complex. Doctors can also see their patients inside Dharamshala in emergency cases.
The Dharamshala was inaugurated by Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Union Territory Chandigarh in presence of Shri Tara Chand Jain, MLA, Udaipur, Dr. Vipin Mathur, Principal RNT Medical College, Shri Nirmal Jain, Founder of IIFL Group, Shrimati Madhu Jain, Director IIFL Foundation, and other dignitaries.
